I have a question about a motor i just purchased,if anyone can help me?I own a couple other motors a 9 half johnson and a 18 in a half evirude and this one seams a little loud not motor loud but loud.The motor run great dont miss a beat, but im not to up to date on newer motors, is this comin?And friend had it and sold it to me for 650.00 is that a good price or not?THANKS Tom

It sounds like a good but to me. As far as the loudness I have to ask some questions: are you running the motor on muffs or is it on a boat? If you are on muffs it will be loud; if it is on a boat there will be a great difference (less noise).

No i was running it in the water on my boat.I quess it exhausts though the prop .But it just seans loud but runs great?? Thanks for the post any infor on this motor would be very helpful seaming i didnt get any when i purchaced it thanks

Nice little motor. I just replaced the water tube and upper grommet on a '82 Evinrude because of overheating problem. While I had it apart I cleaned all the accessable chambers of saltwater build up. Good luck
