ran great all the way to the fishing hole (about 5 miles). fished for a couple hours and went to leave and motor just sounded like crap. went to get on plane and it was just rough didnt want to plane. hard to explain sound in writing, but i know it sounded diferent. it wasnt lopeing. let it sit for a few minutes. fired it up was still sound ing funny but i just punched it it finally hickuped and went. wot rpm stayed at 5000 for a minute then went to 5700 where it should be.it ran great for the rest of the day. and of course i could'nt get it to do it again. was thinking fuel problem. know i'm noticing there is no water separator which is shocking for a hydrasport. going to change the little inline filter. should i have a water separater. plugs are new 40 hr ago. any suggestions. mainly want to know if this little fuel filter is cloged would this be the outcome? thanks

I can't comment other than to say, you should absolutely have should have a water sep. filter. And your idea about water is the first thing I'd think of and cure, but I have a very limited skill and experience set... but water in the fuel is one thing I've had and cured!
