93' 5.0 merc Upgrade Bravo

What are the benefits of upgrading to a Bravo dual prop from an Alpha. (I was questioned about the gear ratios). I think there are plenty of bravo's available used (after all you guys overeating and blowing the Mercruisers up)...What do you think the cost would be?

wont fit without changing the transom assy.
