I just bought and installed a 93 200 E200CXETF and have a few questions.
I have a Seloc manual, not very impressed, seems to miss some stuff.

1. The tach wire loom out of the ignition (Purple, grey, black) which goes to which on the tach?

2. see the attached picture, where does this go? It is on the rear, right side of the block, it loops around to the left side of the motor and ends under the carbs, but is not connected to anything under the carbs.

Thanks guys

Ok...
Question one. The purple wire is switched +12v and goes to the +12 v terminal of the tach. The black is ground, and the grey is the tach input signal which goes to the terminal labelled "I" on the tach. I stands for ignition.

Question 2. The hose you are showing is for a water pressure gauge. It should run from there thru the control cable grommet, up thru the boat to the helm, and connect to the back of a WP gauge. You can remove it, plug it, whatever , if you want.

Perfect! thanks for the help..
As far as #2, with that hose being disconnected, is that why I have what looks like salt deposits on the motor area? See picture..

Thanks again

I believe you will find that while it may taste salty, it is mostly aluminum oxide on those head bolts. Likely caused by spray and dampness around that #5 cylinder, but #6 is lower in the cowling, so I would expect to see it there too. Aluminum oxide is a very common problem, and quite often locks a bolt up so bad that it breaks when trying to remove it.

Water pressure from the water pump is present at that 90* elbow on the exhaust adapter plate. It is something I would not want leaking on my engine, and I would fix it soon.

Oh, also, the oxidized bolts on the coils are BAD. It will cause poor ground connection for the coils, and you will experience cylinder ignition problems for each coil that is oxidized. I would fix that first. Remove coil, wire brush both coil and block bosses, coat mating surfaces with dielectric grease, reassemble, and I would use some star washers under the coil mounting screws.
