Yep it smells.....here is why. 1979-91 V-6 crossflow/loopers driveshafts are21-3/4 long. 1992- 90* V-6 motors are 22-1/8...1991 and up 60* are 21-5/16. This is due to different crankshaft lengths. Where are you located???

I'm on the southern oregon coast. I have good shafts and gears so maybe he took shaft differences out of the equation.
