Re: 93 OMC 4.3 Cobra Valve Cover Blown
No other visible damage, oil pan was fine. Oil level remained exactly where it was at check before attempt to launch even 2 days later. My mech is taking a look but upon visual inspection no other internal damage. Valves fine, springs fine, all seals normal, good cylinder compression. The valve covers were deformed and could not be used, he is replacing the gaskets and covers and said it should be good to go, no fuel in oil or any other problems. He has been boat mech for 42 years and has never seen this before either.
I will keep posted what the outcome is after he gets back to me.
