Not sure if you ever resolved your stalling or idling problem? I have a '91 Evinrude 90hp
that had the same problem. The manual says to prime the VRO oil tank bulb first and then
priming the gas bulb. If you omit or squeeze the oil tank bulb last then the engine is rich
in gas and it will inject extra oil which fowls the plugs. Doing this resolved my problem.

Bickdog,
You should never have to prime the oil system unless it has been opened for service or runs out of oil. Doing so will inject too much oil in the system and cause fouling at start-up. If it needs priming every time, there is something wrong with the lines or bulb.
