Re: 94 jeep cheerokee limited -good or bad
Mileage should be better than that, I get 16 mpg on my Ford f150, and 18-22 with my 93 Grand Cherokee with 4.0. It is my understanding that the V8s were on a par or slightly better on economy for whatever reason. That generation of Jeep has a lot of gee-wiz electronics that can get goofy, but it seems that the most problems I have seen are with the 4.0 jeeps. I have replaced the computer and fuel pump, the front rotors warp if you look at them wrong, but at the same time it has been a stout vehicle, and is truely useful off-road. Most 4x4 suvs are more of a "winter rig" than true offroad worthy vehicles, the Jeeps can take a beating offroad and the aftermarket is huge. I wouldn't even worry about the mileage, just make sure it runs well and does not leak fluids out of every crack and crevice. Good luck...
