Had a half a tank of oil in my auxiliary tank and the low oil alarm wouldn't shut up. Cleaned the tank before filling and bled air from line. Seemed to work fine as far as I could tell as the oil level was significantly lower when we got back to the ramp. Noticed some minor oxidation on the terninals for the alarm but does it operate on a closed curcuit or open? There must be some kind of float that is stuck in the pickup tube, can it be freed up? Anyone had any luck with these? If I disconnect the leads it just means I won't get an alarm right?
