Can someone explain the small hose at the bottom back of the air silencer rear plate where is this hose going and what does it do? as I'm having trouble keeping it connected . Is it supposed to be cable tied or clamped?

im pretty sure that hose is to drain any gas that gets spit out of the carb. OMC used cable tie for their hoses.

Air box drain hose from air box to intake manifold. You can secure it anyway that works.

The hose is an airbox drain hose. It is simple hose, usually sold in bulk by the dealer. When new, it should simplly push onto the hose barb at the back of the airbox, and onto the hose barb at the bottom of the block, under the bottom carb. When new, it will not fall off and will last for years. If the carbs ever leak any fuel into the airbox (when the engine is tilted all the way up,) the hose will recirculate that fuel/oil back into the bottom cylinder for combustion. If the hose is slightly oversize at each end, replace it.
