95 115hp mecury mariner electrical problem

Just replaced lower unit. Took it out on lake, everything was working fine and then lost all guages. Got back to shore, ignition switch wouldn't engage starter, and still no guages. Replaced ignition switch, and checked all fuses. Found inline fuse on motor and it was good. Still no guages and ignition switch doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you actually check the fuse under the cowling with a meter or did it just "look" good?

I actually replaced it, but I didn't check it. Also after replacing ignition switch, I put a volt meter on the prongs. When the key is off, there is power to all prongs. When key is off, there is no power to any of the prongs. I'm not sure if that is normal. Electrical is not my strong suit. Thanks.

Also, the tilt switch on the shifter quit working. Switch on motor works.

With the key off there should be power on the red lead only. With the key on there should be power on the red and purple only until you are starting the motor or activating the choke.
