95 2-stroke merc 8hp - white fluid from exhaust

Anyone know what this is, I am taking it to the mechanic in 2 weeks and I would like to have some idea of whats going on. It has an idle problem as well. I read on other posts that water coming from the exhaust is normal but why would it be white? Thanks J

My old 9.8 has the white unburned oil/gas mix coming out the prop too..it was black in other motors I have. Could be a little rich or ..I blame it on colder water since the 9.8 is on my duck boat. It also seems to have more when I have Sea Foam in the gas.

Harker I am getting it out of the back of the cowler you know where the smoke comes out when you first start it up. Thanks for the help BTW.

Wish I was more puter literate too ....so you don't have it dripping out the prop? I canges the exaust cover gaskets and deflector plate in mine this winter, along with the gaskets under the cover of the fuel mix chamber. I don't know yet whether it will stop the white slime or not. Sometimes the deflector plate in the exaust cover can get a pin hole in it so exaust can get some water in it and turn milky.
