95' 225 carb stalling/buzzer

got the cooling issue rexolved, replaced the thrmostats and poppet and now it comes up to temp and operates fine! thanks for all of your help here. now the last 2 times i took her out ive had a similar problem and am looking for some advice/direction. i do alot of idle fishing and at first it runs fine but later in the day starts acting up. under 2k rpms the motor "stumbles", buzzer sounds and sometimes stalls out. ll will restart but continue to stumble, buzzer sound and will sometimes stall and sometimes keep running but like crap. tried checking the coils pulling one wire off at a time to feel the engine drop or run rough. changed the plugs but did it cold before going out the next time and it ran fine till i ran it and later in the day started the same crap. im not familiar with how the ecm works, wether its going bad and craps out when overheated and am at a loss as to how or what else to check. this time of year the mechanics around here are slammed and when i could get the boat to them i couldnt expect them to wait hours for it to "do its thing"!! help



for the record for all of you that tell me that this motor is not designed to troll or idle i appreciate your input. maybe i sjhould give you a more clear picture of how and where i fish. its a ten minute run for me to the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel, when i arrive there i drift through the 2 brifge spans with the current. the tide is usually ripping so using my 15hp kicker isnt an option and also i have htis motor on a center console boat and fish from the helm so again a kicker or trolling motor wouldnt work.

#1. The buzzer indicates a very serious problem Solid tone is overheat, beeping is oil failure.
#2 A 225 ain't a trolling motor. Put a kicker on that boat.

i might not have explained it properly, the buzzer sounds like when you first turn the key on, so wahts happening is the engine is dying and then sometimes stalling and coming back on and sometimes just stopping.
