Hey guys, just wondering if my motor is a 90 degree or 60 degree. E130txaor I am pretty sure it is loop charged 90 degree. The trim switch is on starboard side. When we say 60 or 90 degree what angle exactly are we talking about?

The term 60* or 90* refers to the angle between cylinders. An American automotive V6/8 motor is a 90* configuration.

The simple way for you to tell is to look at the engine cover. If it is rectangular, it is a 60* motor. If the cover is wider at the rear, it is a 90* motor. The model number will also tell you the answer.

Got it, thanks. I figured that the angle of the cylinders in relation to each other told the story. I just put a square on the top of the block and read the degrees and it was 90. I was confused because it seems as most 90 degrees were crossflow, but I am pretty sure this engine is loop charged.

What is the general consensus on the characteristics of the 90 degree loopers?
