95 fast strike 150 spark no spark

Im having problems with spark I can wiggle some wires around the power pak and timing sensor harness and if im lucky it will start , if it does it runs perfect , but i can turn it off and here we go again , sometimes it will start after just sitting for a while , but sometimes it will go for days it will start and shut off . Then if I can get it started again it will start every time until I trailer it . I had it in the shop for $85 he found nothing wrong , it started everytime but once , he could not fine a ground or any problem . I was told by another dealer that it was probably the timing sensor so he sent me one ,but Im lost on what I need to do to get started to replacing it myself , I have no service manual but plenty of hand tools and common sense can anyone help me please

Without an OEM Factory service manual you're sort of dead in the water. But, you can go to shop.evinrude.com and look up the parts diagrams for your mtr and maybe this will help.

hey i appreciate the help , where can I get the service manual , I have looked on line and found them to be for 91 to 2000 models all sizes will that expland in detail and step by step procedures on the 150 fast strike im not wanting to pay for it if it doesnt help the way i need it to

Try Ken Cook in Milwaukee WI. Stay away from Seloc or Clymer as they Suck.
