I know some models have wires molded to the coils, but these look like they can be replaced since they have boots on both ends. I need to know if they can be replaced before I destroy the coil by pulling them off. The Seloc manual doesn't specify which model have plug wires that can be replaced.

According to the merc parts site, the coil assembly and the sparkplug wire assembly are ordered as separate parts on a 95 120hp model.

Go here:

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/selectModels2.asp?type_id=FORC

Click on 120hp 1995 and
click on "ignition components" to view the diagram and parts listing.

Are you replacing the coil or the wire?
If you replace the wire, make sure you use solid wire core, not a high resistance automotive type cable.

Re: 95 Force 120 plug wires

Thanks for the information, especially the link to the Mercruiser parts. It's fantastic! I'm parting out the 95' 120hp and keeping the parts that will work on my 91 150hp. I found conflicting info in the manual about swapping the coils, but now I know they will work as well. Thanks a million.
