i have been having problems with wot , it will run wot for about two minutes then slow to about 3000 rpms, however if i pump the fuel bulb it will run wot? i have installed a new fuel line and bulb , new sparkplugs , new filter , and checked for leaks could it be the fuel pump? is there a rebuild kit for the fuel pump or should i buy a new pump? thanks for any help.

Sounds like the fuel pump but have you checked the tank vent and are you sure there are no places that air could be drawn in between tank and pump. Fuel line connector for example.

I think you'll find the pros prefer to replace the whole pump. Fiddly things to overhaul I think you will find but if you have time to do it and prefer to save the cost of a new one .....

Looks like a complex job.

yes i checked the vent on tank it was clear,i guess i'll replace the pump unless there is something else i'm missing.thanks for the help.

be absolutely sure its not pulling air in somewhere betwixt tank and pump before spending shed loads of cash on a pump.
