95 Johnson No high speed/ HELP

My 95 50hp Starts fine Idles fine, but only on occasion will not run over about one-third throttle. Sometimes it runs wide open and has no<br />problems at all. Have tried fuel,plugs,fuel additives etc. Could it be a sensor??? Any help at all would be Greatly appreciated. PS alarm beeper works but isn't activated???????

Have you tried giving the primer (choke) a bump when trying to go wot? If so, what happened? If not,try it.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

William, on the linkeage on the side of your motor is a shaft that stops the advance of the magneto for starting and idling. Sometimes it hangs up and although you are getting full throttle , you are not getting full magneto advance . Clean it up , loosen it up , grease it and nest time check to see that you are getting full advance. N<br />nevjb
