95 Starcraft 1710 Hardware missing

Just wondering if you guys could help me find some hardware for my boat. One of the latches that hold the engine cover down is not on the boat that I just purchased. Its the little upside down J hook that is mounted to the floor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I can't help you with that. But I wanted to post that I just bought a 98 Starcraft 1710 that doesn't have an own'er's manual. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks.

Chances are there never was an owner's manual. But good luck. You might try contacting Starcraft but don't hold your breathe.

Wow, I guess I never thought about there never having been one. My big question is about power steering fluid. I've never owned a boat with power steering and the previous owner sucked out the reservoir as part of his winterizing process. My first question is what kind of fluid should I put back in to restore it in the spring? Also, is lowering the power steering fluid level to the botom of the reservoir really a part of the winterizing process? Thanks

BTW: The latch you showed doesn't match what's on my 1710 but looks like it would be an excellent subsitute for both sides.

Tom - post in the Non-Repair I/O and Inboards forum. Then we can get out of a thread that's 4 years old. I missed that when I posted earlier. I guess you missed the red banner that popped up too.
