engine starts fine then when power is applied falls flat on its face . All three plugs on port side are fouled. If I keep swapping plugs and open throttle as soon as engine starts it will finally pick up these cylinders and run until I try to idle for more than a minute.I have pulled carbs and checked needle seats and also checked elec choke sys. anyone have any thoughts ?? I just wanna go fishin

thanks
kpa

Just a guess, but if there is a shift switch on the engine shift linkage, unplug the switch and try it.

I guess I'm not sure of the logic with that. Is there a rev limit enabled with this switch? How would that account for flooding three cyls. on same side?

Thanks for input

Anymore Ideas??

The shift switch kills cylinder 1,3,5 sometimes when shifting. 1,3,5 are on the stbr side, but it is possible to get the wires mixed on some engines.A better guess is power pack and timing sensor.

Switch was defective, Thank you very much you saved me a great deal of headaches.

Just a note to everyone this is a solid state switch , to bypass youmust plug the wires from the harness into one another.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! GONE FISHIN!!!!!!!!
