Had a boating accedent that ended up ripping off the lower unit and broke part of the east housing (where the lower unit bolts to) my serial number is 0g408421 I can't find the size of the shaft. It's a bass boat and from the top of the transom to the cavitation plate is about 16". It has a jack plate on it aswell. And where can I find parts for a good price?

If that measurement is right it's a short shaft which makes it crazy rare. I am going to bet it's the wrong measurement they only list a Long and XL shaft that is 20" and 25"

its a 20 inch or "L" (long) down housing, gearcase... ebay and google "20 inch 2.5 mercury V6 outboard mid section".. not rare at all...just don't see many where "salt" is tha main boatin' water (larger boats).. justa 'bout any 2.0, 2.4. 2.5 will work but you will need ta be '91 up to eliminate anything with it being justa "bolt on" item.. earlier would need some "adjustment" with idle relief passage.....
