96 35 hp mercury

A guy emailed me and says he has a very nice 1996 25 mercury tiller style and he wants 1200...does this sound good? I think its too much . 96 is 12 years old and you can buy a brand new yamaha 25 for 2400.....

It all depends on how much it was used and how well it has been taken care of during its life.

correction . the engine is a 25 hp not 35 thanks
