96 40hp need ignition switch

choke switch is bad which it separate from ignition ,the ignition switch is sprung and keeps starter in gauged. all i can find is magnito type need battery type w/choke built in. anyone got one or know where to get one

For ADI or CDM ign. thats the type of switch you need it grounds off just like a magneto

thanks for info but how can i tell which i have.?

have a new switch hooked it up engine turns over but does not start

this way hooked up on switch

letters on switch

S STARTER 2-M MAGNITO I IGNITION A BATTERY C CHOKE

yellow wire off safety going to starter
orange wire going to ingnition box
red wire battery
black wires going to M on switch
white going to other M on switch
gray wire going to choke please help

Red is B
Yellow is S
Black is one M
Orange is other M
Gray is C
I think the post marked I is a post for 12 volt switched power like dash instruments,power trim and etc.

where should i put the white wires
in the book all they do is go to the boat harness the don,t go to the engine harness

on this ignition switch there is [ A] terminal for accessery

A- accessery
B -battery
C- choke
I- ignition
M- magneto
M- magneto
S- start
you say try this way below can i put white wires on Accessery

red =battery
yellow= start
black= magneto
orange= magneto
gray= choke
