Hey guys new member i thought it was time to join a boaters forum. I need help lol im a mechanic by trade and this shouldnt be that hard to figure out but my boat has like 350 hours on it and is pristine to the T. one problem im havingthough is a random misfire under load trying to take off and once im im high R's it seems to go away. ive checked fuel press. fuel filters new hoses all new, injectors spraying amazing not overfueling its t.b.i in case you wondered. new cap rotor plugs and wires to manuf. spec. ignition module under the cap. it runs amazing on the hose flawlessly one thing i can say is my tachometer is goofy and ive read it can do goofy things like cause random misfires in any case is this true im nowhere near fresh water to just throw her in and test her. have any of you actually heard of this? and yes distributor is tight and lines up on 1 manually every time in case you wondered been messing with this for months driving me nuts! any help or ideas much appreciated thanks, Dawson

Check fuel pressure
If you have a crab cap, change it
Generally a lean sneeze on accelerating is running out of fuel
