Just replaced the head gaskets, head cover gaskets, and water pump on my motor. I accidentally pulled the wire off one of the temp sensors so I crimped it back in to place. When I went to start the motor the water temp illuminates and stays on. It does not have the "beep/buzz sound that it used to during the start up procedure. No warning alarm sounds. Strong stream from the water pump. I'm fairly certain I will have to replace that sensor. Do I have to remove the head cover to pull it out or can you use a pick to get it out? I know that it isn't wise to run it because it could overheat without noticing. I don't plan to, but would it cause running issues?
