I just bought this motor with a 96 hydra sport 17. The motor runs very good. My question is, when running on the hose/muff, should water be coming from the center of the prop? In the past, I had a Yamaha, Mercruiser and a Force. They all had water coming from the prop while running to flush. This Johnson does not. Only exhaust. The tell tell has a real good stream of water coming from it. Thanks

That's a big motor to be running on muffs. Don't rev it up on the muffs. Water from the pee hole is all you'll see when idling. On the boat, and running faster, there is water coming out the exhaust but, of course, you can't see it. I always caution folks that run their motor on muffs. It's ok, but, it's not supplying enough water for a motor like your 90. Idling is ok, but, not much faster, and not for very long.
