I just wanted to put this out there. I have completed my 150 rebuild project and I hooked the muffs up and guess what, it fired right up. Running good so far have not yet put it to the test in the water but hopefully this weekend. I just had to get this out I am very excited. Thanks to all who have answered and questions I had.

But one quick question, how hot will this engine run, should I be able to put my hand on the heads when running. I think I am going to put in a temp guage, the reason for rebuild was the previous owner said an oil line came off and engine got hot and scored the cylinders, I don't have any alarms when running the engine but I am also running 50:1 in the tank during the break in period. Any suggestions.

assuming its a carb 150 it should run 140 degreesf +or-15 and no hotter tan 160 (I think)
both heads should be close to the same temp.
