Hi,
new to the site. been looking for some help with this - I have been having some problems with my primer bulb collapsing. I have checked all the likely suspects...Anti -siphon valve (uninstalled), tank pick up tube & filter (sock), I've changed the primer hose and bulb, used second new bulb for testing, changed fuel hoses, filters, checked vent which appears to be free of obstruction, checked water seperator filter housing for damage, pin holes, debris, - when at idel motor seems to run fine and will take off under power after a few minutes of running at high RPM the bulb will suck flat and the motor will begin to stall out until I go back to idle and the bulb fills up again. I still have to run a secondary tank to see if the problem goes away. -I bought a fuel pump rebuild kit but it would appar the pump is working correctly if it sucks the bulb flat so I have'nt taken it apart yet but I have been hearing about cupping of the diapragham seals due to the use of fuel additives - can the pump diaprghams be bad and still be able to suck the bulb flat?? It seems to me the check valve in the bulb is getting stuck but on two bulbs?? Or the vent is blocked but it does not appear to be the case thus far - going crazy!

A second problem - I had a leaky water pressure relief valve took it apart found it to be damaged and crusted w/ salt I replaced the seal, cleaned up the housing - but it was still leaking a little I took apart again and reinstalled it looks ok but I noticed when installing it that the plastic poppet seems to hit the wall of the water jacket forcing the valve open there is only way to install it and everything looks right according to the manual - am I missing sometihng? any help is greatly appreciated -
I need to do some fishin already!!!!! Thanks

The squeezie might be bad,If thats not the problem there is a vent line clogged. It's not getting air and creating a vacume.Fuel pump sounds OK.
Post pics about the other problem.J

A vaccuum gauge can help narrow down the location of the problem, depending on where you hook it up. If you hook it up between the fuel tank and the hose connected to the fuel tank, you can determine if the problem is with the tank or the fuel lines going to the fuel pump.
