'98 502 MPI firing order

Looking for 502 MPI firing order. I've got MSD Ignition distributor. From what i was told, if your looking on the opposite side of the starter, towards the front, that is 1,2,3,4, then on the starter side towards front 8,7,6,5??
Please correct me if i'm wrong..

My distributor is not labeled. so i don't know where to place the wires on the distributor. Please help! i'm ready to go insane.8)

I edited the picture into my post after your reply. The best (actually the only way to be sure) thing to do is put your engine at #1TDC on the compression stroke, then look at the rotor, it will be pointing at #1 on the cap.
