99' Johnson 25HP won't idle

Friend's boat died last trip, towed him in with mine. It was flooding, primer bulb wouldn't get hard. Did carb rebuild kit and primer bulb is good now.

Took out today, adjusted mixture screw at ramp, baseline is 2 & 1/2 turns from seated. Found the sweet spot about 1/8 to 1/4 turn counterclockwise from that.

Idled and ran like a top for a couple miles to our fishing hole. When we slowed it was kicking and it died. Hasn't ran right since.

I tried adjusting the screw and nothing would work. I checked the battery cables and they were tight...

It still runs great off idle but it just won't idle now. I can't tell if it's a misfire but I'm pretty sure it's not a sneeze.

A 2 or 3 cylinder motor?----Model # ?----Fuel pump diaphragm checked ?----Checked flywheel key ?-----Spark jumps a gap of 3/8" on both leads ?-----Water pump impeller replaced ?-----Compression test results are ?

2cyl, J25EEED. Diaphragm replaced/fuel pump kit done along with carb kit. Spark jumps 7/16-3/8". Can't find compression tester. Impeller fairly new, pump's great.

Use a timing light on it and see if it is an ignition miss.------Open low speed mixture 1 /4 turn at a time and see if miss goes away.----Post a video of the PORT side of the block .----Showing the adjustable block on that thin rod that goes to the towershaft.----Show this while it is idling.
