I have a 170v Lowe bass boat (aluminum) and it has about 6 leaking rivets in one area where the hull hit something and I was wondering if jb weld would work because I've used it on a dozers oil pan about 7 years ago and it still doesn't leak so would it work on my boat?

Jb weld, marine tex or gluvit should be sufficient. Throw up some pics of the damage and we can give a little better advice.

Yeah, it may possible to easily re-do the rivets at issue... You can put some 5200 on them for extra water-proofing.

Closed End (very important), blind pop rivets are easy to install (even if you only have access to the outside/underside of the hull.

Boatnut- there was no damage ,they looked liked they wouldn't have leaked (looked normal) but since they were in one spot I assumed it hit something and knocked a few loose, thanks

PMC-I think that I'll just use jb weld since there's only a few, but if more start leaking ill just re-rivet them all,Thanks

You can also consider using Gflex which is an epoxy designed for leaking rivets on alum. boats. Can do on outside of hull.

It is made by West Systems and here is a video if of interest.

Aluminum Boat Rivet Repairs

You can get it from the fine folks at Iboats up above.

I havent used it yet myself but am going to as my hull gets flipped/

Good luck

I wouldn't use JB on rivets. If they are on the bottom not sure about using G Flex upside down. I would replace them with blind rivets like the Bullfrog rivets that use a steel mandrel for a high strength pop along with some sealer or find some large flange stainless rivets.
