I went to a great Hot Rod Show yesterday in Burlington, VT. Over 1500 cars built up with every ounce of horsepower that you could imagine, Blowers, turbos, nitrous and every trick in the book. Ton's of horsepower, ton's of $$$$$$$$ and spectacular paint jobs with attention to detail.

While walking around I found this which I consider very rare and a diamond in the rough! Remember Nascar banned these engines. I thought I would share!

I was more impressed by this than any other engine there.

Yeah by hybrid will never see the joys of Hilborn Injectors and full length ram tubes not to mention the 650+ HP

Me think that be a 37 Ford. I had one years back with the original 85 hp flathead. Got it from my grandad who bought it new. I would have liked to have kept it but at the time I had no place to store it and 3 crumb crunchers eating every dime I made. Soooo - - - -

I don't know the engine but I bet it sounds Soooooooooo good.

A guy by my workshop has just bought a Shelby 350GT mustang with straight through side pipes, he had it on the rolling road last week, I couldn't hear the phone ringing for 1/2 hour, he only had it up at 4k rpm it will go to 7k. I can't wait till he races it in the UK, I'll stand 3/4 the way down the main straight and feel the ground shake.

That motor was also known a a "cammer" or so I've been told.
Sierra Boat Company up at Lake Tahoe had a new one in a crate 10 years ago. It was going to be installed in a vintage wood Chris Craft.

I thought the 429 was the shotgun and the 427 was the cammer. I do know it has a L O N G timing chain. The guy who owned the one I photo'd told be that the short timing chain in the bottom wore the fastest.
