My iPhone is password protected although I do have contact info on my lock screen in case someone finds my phone. I might add emergency contact info to it. Basically I take a jpeg and add text info to it.

That's a really good idea Bruce.
I'm on it.

(you could always put your passcode on the lock screen)....;)

Our emergency services personel usually look for a wallet first because it doesn't help to call someone if you don't know who the person is. If the contact info is next to the ID, that makes things quicker and easier. That said, the more places the contact info is, the better, along with allergies or any special medical info or requests. My family has it on there phones, but I preach the ID and info by it first.

For years my cell was setup with ICE.....I use it a lot to look up my own cell phone number (I had added it also to the list) I can never remember my own number. Heck, my cell phone still has the 6 lb battery pack you have to carry along with it. :D

My wife's, son's and daughter's names all have the prefix 'aa' in my phone. They're the first 3 names to appear when you open the 'contacts'.

Here in Illinois we have an emergency contact database that Illinois drivers can use to register their emergency contact info. When we run a drivers license through our system, a person who has that info registered has a "flag" attached to their drivers license response. We can query that info and get your emergency contact info in seconds. It's proved truely invaluable in life and death matters and it's restricted to official law enforcement purposes. Any drivers who are registered in Illinois can register with this system...it's free!
