As some of you know, I have been working on my Glastron for the last couple months. The initial plan was to replace the transom, as things ended up I replaced everything in the boat. I.E. stringers, sole, transom, steering, electrical. You get the point. Basically a complete rebuild.

Well today was the day. The original plan was to take the boat out with my buddy who helped on the build. But, as things would have it the whole family was just as anxious to go as I was. We loaded everyone up and headed down to the river (Cape Fear) and took off unsure of how the boat would preform. We took off from the hill and after dealing with the choke we finally had her running; my buddy took his boat with us just in case something was wrong; we took off to see how things went and being in the true spirit of the person I am we went WOT right out of the gate. The boat jumped right up on plane
faster than it ever had before and topped out at a respectable 45 mph. The boat preformed flawlessly. Anyone who has read my posts knows that I had a problem with the boat listing really bad trying to get on plane. I am happy to say that I fixed that problem. I use to have gallons upon gallons of water in the bilge when I trailered the boat. Not so anymore. After 6 hours on the water I pulled the plug and not a single drop of water in the bilge.

Bottom line here, I claim VICTORY. My boat is right. I owe a ton of credit to my successful rebuild to the members of this forum; not just the ones who answered my questions; but the ones who asked their questions and those who answered all of their questions. In short thanks to all of you guys for your guidance and support. As a treat, (I know how you guys love pics) here are some pics from today.
