I was looking at those boats a few days ago on craigslist. Some of those boats look very cool.

oops! you left out chronically watching Craigslist and ebay several time a day.
"how much do you think the sunrunner would cost to fix up??" could go to $30,000 if it needs powerplants and drives.

Free! Wow!

We have an old dealer in central MO that has acres of old fiberglass boats, though most are under pole sheds. Every so often they will offer project boats, but for some $. http://www.raymondsboats.com/ see u-fix it for listings.

I always thought that they should offer 90% of them free as their trade-in value paid out has seriously eroded over the years.

If I had the time I would love to redo an old "hardtop" model just to fool around. But then it would cost me $$$ for a new dock.

So I'll just live vicariously through those with a heck of a lot more talent than me.

Re: A Guy can dream..2nd boat restoration

The trouble of having 3ac. of lawn, Lots of mowing, lots of space for old hulls. More old hulls= less grass to mow!:D

Everyone up here figures if it floats, it's gotta be worth at least a $1000.00:(

I'd love to have those free to me boat options you enjoy down there, my good wife doesn't care what I have on the 2acs. of lawn out back, just what the 1ac. front lawn looks like! :D

IFI was closer, I'd rent a Car Hauler and really have some projects/lawn ornaments.
