I have not had a magnatron ignition fail yet. So I can't help you with that one. They are the simplest device going but if they start to go bad I have heard that when they get hot they fail. Cool down and start working again. Sound like your situation?

Mark, it takes about 4 hours to mow this place and the lawn mower did the job. The problem was the at the initial startup. It's working now so maybe I scrounge a working magnatron for when it does go, good for now tho. Chief

tahe the bolt out of the float bowl and run a small wire through the hole if it's pluged it will start like a beach

Oh, it's running just fine now musky. That's usually where I start, but the plug was wet and the spark was non-existant so I went a diferent direction this time. Chief
