So, here I go again. I go and buy a $450 boat. Turns out to be a 1987 JC Craft (little known) with a 3.7 merc, 18' bowrider in front of an Alpha 1. The only real problem was that the boat hadn't been run for years and the vinyl was crap.
Well, it was easy getting the controls off the side panel, since the panel had all but disintegrated. Now, I can't figure out how to get them apart to put them back on.
Before you ask, I can't get pictures of it yet. The unit is original, single lever, starboard mount with a square neutral button at the pivot. tilt and trailer on the stick, two screws to remove the cover.
Anyone recognize this configuration and perhaps how to get the handle off?
