a little out drive advice please

i have a 94 mercruiser,blew the motor,bought a new one its redy to go in.i decided to re do all the bellows and the gimbal bearing.i got the new G B in i hooked the u joint bellows to the bell firts and got the transom end of it on nice and glued tight. the stern gear oil monitor is hooked up,and the shift cable is ran and bellows for it nice and secure. i can't get the exhaust bellow to saty on the bell housing,or the water pick up tube hooked up they are hooked and glued to the transome perfect.i just can't get them hooked to the bell,any advice.

All i can say is "Persistance!" they can be a b***h. lube the water hose to get it on. Vasoline works.

Keep at it . I had to do it twice in the last few years and they will make you go crazy. my best advice is to see if you can get a skinny teenager with small hands and wrists to do it for you.
