Whoops, Yanks win.:p

The Yanks were buried multiple times through out the regular season as well. I do believe it is a best of 5 series. In other words, 2 wins does not end it.

Either way lets hope the 2 teams that attmpt to buy the Championship each year "yanks, Sux's" lose bigtime.

Are you saying that the teams that don't have much money wouldn't buy the talent if they could afford to? C'mon, get a grip.

Agreed. Steinbrenner is one of the absolute best owners in baseball.

Why would you not want your owner to aquire the best talent possible? I would much rather have George compared to an owner that wants nothing more than to raise ticket prices, aquire minor leagers for pennies on the buck, be out of contention by mid-May, unload any talent that has been developed by the trading dead-line, and then go on vacation so he/she does not have to hear the criticism of ownership by the public, the same public buying game tickets and paying for $5 hot dogs.

I don't know, I'd rather have some type of human form running my teams. I'd also like to see a $ per World Series Championship comparison. IMHO, he is the worst owner as he meddles, ruins team chemistry, fires (or actively discusses firing) people in the papers, denigrates players, etc. etc. Maybe it works in the rudest city in the world, but for me I'd rather have a hard working team, with less money being spent. I don't like to see bad guys succeed. I like the Yankees team itself, but primairly due to Torre. Class act.
