We have to winterize in Arizona as well . . . say goodbye to the wife and infant son for the duration of the fall bite . . . switch out from the trusty bass gear to the trout gear . . . pack a light windbreaker (a.k.a. winter coat) for the chilly (60?s or 70?s) mornings . . . perhaps even switch from open toed sandals to closed toed sandals . . . still have to pack sun screen, but can pretty much ignore bug spray . . .

It is a rough time of year here . . . :D

hey isn't there a punishment for taunting like this. I mean like a you owe all northerners a free stay at your place kind of thing or something? he's killing us here. :D close toe sandals hmph around here it'll be sorels before you know it.

Smart geese and ducks . . . they aren't too worried about a place to stay! :D

That reminds me, waterfowl season should be opening soon . . . feathers and fins in the fall . . .

Yup going to winterize. The fishing rods go up on the wall and the crab traps get packed into the bow for winter crabbing.:D

oh completely agree with you there. 2 brown and silver ones. i don't even use the cover on that boat anymore.. i was just wondering if anyone does it.. it doesnt seem practical.. you can't get in to do work to it all winter unless you but the door for it which is like $50 more

At my camp site there are approx 150 seasonal guests with boats. I'd say approx 5-10 will shrink wrap. But, at so much a square foot (minimum $300), I'll be going the tarp route as well.

We're supposed to hit triple digits today and tomorrow. Hopefully it'll cool off a bit by the middle of November :) The comfortable boating season is just about to start around here. It gets darn chilly at night though, 75 or so. ;)

That's what I was thinking . . . I'm just bumming that I'm probably not going to boat on Thanksgiving Day this year. We're going to the beach instead :p

I really feel your pain.
All those other guys just don't understand what we have to go through living in this part of the country..:p::D

I really feel for my northern cohorts... If you start to Jone's for getting out on the water head on down to Florida... We get to pretty much boat year round down here depending on where you want to dock.
