Well it is that time again, the salmon are spawning and they are here by the hundreds of thousands.
This includes the spring, chinook, and sockeye to name a couple
The salmon migrate from the pacific up the rivers and streams along the pacific this time of year, but the biggest run for sure is the shuswap lake and all tributaries this includes the mighty adams river.
This year marks the highest consentration that happens every four years.

Here is a look at the adams river run a couple of years ago

This year you can walk across the river on the backs of salmon

Yeah, it's pretty interesting given the whole depleated Salmon stocks angle over the last 15+ years.
What is else is interesting is you buy the fish off the dock now for at least a buck less a pound....good deal!!
Maybe it's almost time to pick up one of those incredibly cheap West Coast fishing boats.....hmmm, just as a summer angle.

If you want to add your copyright info on a pic, before posting on the net, load the photo into an editor that can add text and use "alt 0169," to create the copyright symbol. You have to use the numeric pad when you do this.

alt 0169 = ?

Salmon update
The DFO are allowing the commercial fisheries in the Fraser river to continue for another 24 shot for Sockeye, then closed as they feal the KOHO are about to start running.

Traveled up the Shuswap river almost to Mabel Lake yesterday
(west of Enderby BC) the sockeye or any other variaties are not up that far in vast numbers yet.
but a good picture of the bridge in Enderby as it looks this time of the year. :D
