Hello,
I'm hoping someone that has done this installation aready can read this post and verify that I'm going about this right.
I am going to replace all the battery wires with 4 gauge tinned marine wire. Since I doing all that I might as well add a second battery. One for cranking and one for accessories, gauges and fish finder. I bought a BEP mini battery selctor switch 701S. My starting battery will go on post one and the dual purpose battery will go on post two. The wire going to the starter and the wire to the acc. will go on COM post. I'm not using a acr at this time. But for $100 dollars do I really need one? That covers the positive. Now for the negitive(ground). I have a four-way sealed distutubion block to link all the negitives together.
1) goes to the engine block 2) cranking battery 3) dual purpose battery 4) goes to accessories.
My starting battery is a Optima 34M blue top 800/1000 cranking amps AH-50 (AGM)
Dual puppose is an Marine EverStart group 27 720 cranking amps AH-115 (Acid)
Thanks for any help.
