New to the this omc stern drive thing as I previously had a 17.5' capri outboard... Anyways I managed to do some real damage the first time I took my new to me (1977 240srv sea ray w/ 235 omc stern drive) boat out. I managed to get beached on some rocks that were sitting about a foot below the water, I was at least 150' from the shoreline. The prop was badly damaged (although repairable), the underside of the boat suffered many gouges and chips(as the water was very rough and it tossed us against the rocks for a few minutes before spitting us out), and the skeg was damaged ( large piece broke of the tail end). I am now listing to the port when on plane and suffering some steering issues (she wont turn to the port on plane but will easily turn starboard). It has been recommended to me that I adjust the trim tab anode, I'm wondering if this will help as my skeg is damaged. should i get the skeg repaired (if it's possible). Any and all help is appreciated please provide pics of how to adjust the trim tab anode if that's the answer, btw i'm using the term skeg but I'm not sure thats what it's called I thought it was called a rudder Thanks Corey
