It's become tradition here along the Muddy Banks of the Might Ohio that family collects at my Mom and Dads House for Thanksgiving. And as you might expect, the table settings have increased in number over the years. This year may be the new recorded record for the clan.

Of course with such a crowd, Mom takes back seat to cooking, setting at the table offering hints on how to make things taste special as only she can do. My wife, Mary (I believe that's the first time I've posted her name here), my two daughters, my eldest sons spouse, and my youngest sons girl will be doing the cooking.

When we set down and give thanks, this is what My Mom and Dad will see.

Me and my wife,
My eldest son Jim with Dawn AND my brand new granddaughter Geneva Mingtian. Since Dawn is from China, her father and sister-in-law will be there also. Father Lau and S-I-L, Ei Mein.

Eldest daughter Missy w/boyfriend and his daugher and Missy's daughter Megan.

Youngest daughter Amy with husband Bill and their three boys BJ, Damion and Cole.

Youngest son Jim with his girl Lisa.

So in my Mom and Dads Point of View, it would tally to 1 son, four grandchiildren, 5 great grandchildren and guests.

My Dad is 81, My Mom 75. Not a bad lifes' work.

My best wishes to you all for a wonderful day with those that make life special.

Can't wait for the leftover!! :D

yes every year seems to get busier for us too. my mom and dads house is just to small so things are moving to our house this year. just spent the last 2 weeks cleaning up and getting the rec room in the basement ready to handle the crowd. its always been fixed up pretty nice but since the kids left 5 years ago its never been used. it bacame a place to store stuff. wow what a mess can accumulate in 5 years. anyway its already and we are waiting for everybody to arrive anyminute now. we took care of the ham and the turkey and stuffing and every one else will be bringing something. there will be my gramma 81 my mom and dad. 65 and 63 years old. Me and my wife my sister and her husband and two kids. my other sister and her two kids, then my married daughter and her husband and son, my son and his girlfriend and thier two kids. so gramma will be looking at 1 son and daughter in law. 3 grandchildren , 6 great grand children, and 3 great great grandchildren. plus the spouses. so 19 total.
