A Week Paid Vacation in Hawaii, or Jail? Hmmmm...

An Oshkosh man and others are under arrest following reports of gunshots at the Country USA music festival this weekend. One concert had to be temporarily suspended after reports of at least a dozen gunshots. The man, apparently upset about the festival being moved close to his home, had threatened to shoot-out the speakers. Festival organizers had been aware of the man's discontent for some time and even offered a one week paid vacation in Hawaii during the festival to compensate the man for his inconvenience. He refused, citing concern over potential property damage from festival attendees. Police arrested five people and confiscated several guns including at least one high powered rifle. So now they go to Jail when they could've gone to Hawaii. Sheesh!

I wonder when 20/20 hindsight will set in.

Only in Oshkosh, I heard the police showed up and tasered him and his wife for resisting arrest.

I suppose one could look at it this way. On one hand, it's one week that would already be over and what would they have to show for it? A bunch of plastic flower necklaces? What they have to look forward to is years of free room and board in the Graybar Hotel, staggering legal fees that might cost them that house they were so concerned about. But most of all, the grown kids won't be coming to Mom and Pop to bail them out of their financial problems anymore. I guess they can consider it an investment in their future. :(

I heard the man is 77 years old. Any sentence could be a Life sentence at this point.
