Actually, it looks to me like a plywood box with a slightly turned-up bow...sorta a big wide johnboat. Look at the bow. I'm betting there's a 2x12 frame there, with 4' x 8' grids. A little caulk on the 2x12s and a buncha drywall screws and that 1/4" plywood ain't gonna leak much. Heck, you could do the whole thing in a weekend, as long as you had plenty of beer in the cooler.

That'd work. That trailer doesn't weigh much.

Heck, I may build one like it this weekend, but I think I'll leave the wheels on the trailer, though. That way, I can beach the thing and hook up the trailer to my pickemup truck and tow it to the park.

I'm actually serious. I built a jonboat one day, many years ago, with some 2x12s, one sheet of 1/4" plywood, some stainless steel drywall screws and some caulk. I slapped a couple of coats of house paint on it and used it for over three years on a saltwater bay. Never leaked a drop. Didn't cost me a penny, since I had all the materials laying around. I even had a 5 hp motor on it for awhile.
