Hey Charger, where do you work if you don't mind my asking?

Nights at Kroger hwy 10. I sling stock and there's no telling what's on some of that stuff:eek:

We should hook up sometime and hit the river. Been doing a lot of exploring out there lately. Caught a 12-15lb buffalo on a crankbait on the other side of the island you see from Maumelle Park. There's an insanely long hump over there. That one fish this morning made up for the slow month of fishing I've had.

I'd love to hook up for some fishing. My bass gear is covered with cobwebs.:(

I haven't had the flu in 3 yrs nor have I had a flu shot.

This year (last week in fact) I got a flu shot. I was told to be in perfect health. I didn't get sick from it but I also am in good health without any medical problems whatsoever. That makes a big difference.

Last year my soninlaw had a sinus infection from allergies, he fot his shot and ended up really, reallty sick for a month.

I fight getting this shot every year. Time will tell if it was worth it or not this year.

And some people WILL DIE from getting the flu vaccine period.

So...
From a dead virus? not likely. The risk benefit ratio of getting the flu shot to not is so one sided to getting the flu shot that its not even close.

I always get the shot and have never had an issue. Arm is sore from where the shot goes in and that is all.

Just passing on what I heard, so do not shoot the messenger!!

If you were born in the 60's or before, there is a good chance that you have already been introduced to the major flu strains, either you had them as a child and have some immunity or through your mother who would have passed onto you the antibodies while you were in the womb.

just saying what I heard.

I don't know if there's any correlation since this year it a combo shot (seasonal+h1n1), I'm just saying. I started this thread on 10/5 and am just started to feel right since Tuesday.

My mother is still going strong at 93. When she was a year or so old she had the Spanish Flu which was one of the largest pandemics since the bubonic plaque. She has never had the flu since. I got it in the late 50's while in college and have never had it since then. However I do still get my flu shots almost every year.
