jbjennings, you betcha ! He wasn't tellin no lies ! I can see why these old motors are still runing, the old folks take care of'em, must be something they learned long ago, hmmmm. I think I may stay with the older models, I'm impressed with this one for sure.

Hey, I'm glad to hear that you found this great little motor! I bought a 1957 fleetwin about a year ago (the first outboard I've ever owned) and it's been a great experience. I've learned a lot by getting into it and working on it. I haven't replaced the impeller yet. It's on my to-do list. Anyway, congratulations!
