Hey oops. Awesome that you got her done!! Yes, Vegas is cool especially if you can go run the boat after getting sick of the strip (can happen real fast ;) ). BTW, I have been to Kelowna to visit Western Star when they were there . . . :( I assume you boat on Okanagan. It was about ten years ago and I ate at a newer Marina and Restaurant deal on the lake. Can't tell you which one but I think the building was kinda Hexagonal or similar, and it was all wood. I believe pretty close to town. Any guesses? Looked like a great place to boat!!! Have a safe trip home.

.....way to go Oops!! and a good location to close a deal on a boat. Now you get to drive back into winter heading north and of course spring is just around the corner.
Have a safe trip...and post a pic of the boat when you get it back....love to see it.

Make sure the raw water cooling is drained, or it WILL be frozen and broken before you get home.
Nothing worse than getting your new toy home to find it broken.

the pup was called the pier pub.....just at the end of the bridge....

it got burned down 3 months ago (every one thinks the hells angels did it for insurance)
they (the H.A.) took it over 2 years ago....every one stopped going there. and it went down the tubes...so they burned it...

that was one of my fave spots till they got it....it was really great.
the natives own the land and are going to put up a half a billion dollar casino
on that spot....it will be huge when done.....there is a few new spots to boat and beverage to now.....
comon up...!!!! bring the missus
well find a few more spots!

Re: about to leave vegas for home

ok...here goes...
i dont know how to multi quote so lots of thanks in this post...but first the update.....

we left at 2pm on monday...(today) and got about 160 miles south of salt lake...a big sno storm hit utah/idaho.....we followed a sno plow/sanding truck.
after two hours at 40 mph.... i thought ...ENOUGH OF THIS !!!
dont want to have rock chips....all over the bottom of the hull. so we pulled off at a motel 4 the nite....were starting at 6 am tomm and gonna try to do the whole trip in a day.....the bote's not too bad for a $2500 bliner..the trlr's worth 800 or so.

we tryed to get a "in-transit" pass from dmv...but it is a national civic holiday today so dmv was closed.....i phoned the vegas police to ask what to do....they said "if you have all your documents.....GO FOR IT...not a trooper around that isnt gonna let you go if you explain it to him."

we ended up getting one at a weigh scale at the utah border.

ok here goes the thanks......

don.s
thats the first thing i did when i picked up the bote....drained the block and manifold... 4 banger 140 hp merc, no manual, hope there was only one block drain...couldnt find one on the starter side....now if i just could just remember if it had power steering?????
(hope the cooler's not expencive to replace )

AND TO BIG PRAIRIE.......
a big thank you for opening my eyes on the prices down here.
(to thoes who dont know) we talked about buying boats down here, and he was a lot more right than i was.......
i owe ya a beer next time im in vanc...soon.

lord willing we'll be back in kelowna by some time tommorow nite/morning.
