About what does it cost?

I am wondering about what my cost is going to be at the end of this month when I take my boat in for its annual service.

Couple things about it.

06 Rinker Captiva 192
4.3L mercruiser carbed
Alpha One Gen II
217hrs

There is absolutley nothing wrong with it. Really it only has about 27 hours on it since it was last serviced. The dealer I bought it from serviced it when it came in on trade ( I have the records). Just going to get the annual service done so I have a baseline from which to start my own service records for it, and I was wondering the approximate cost I am goin to be looking at.
Thanks guys.

The words "Annual Service" doesn't really mean anything unless we know what all is going to be done in it. An oil change is a lot different than a full service that pulls the drive and checks the alignment and for leaks, changes the gear lube, possibly the raw water pump impeller, fuel filters, tuneup.
What you need to do is make a list of what you want done, and post it.

With the very accurate information provided, somewhere between $100 and $6,000.
Remember, this is just a guess.

Well I am not sure exactly what I am going to need to have done. I know oil and filter change and upper lower gear lube change.
The service that was done just before I bought it was a full hundred hour service. So I assume the drive was pulled. Do I need to get all of that done again.

I apologize if these are dumb questions that show my ignorance but I am still learning about i/o's.
I just need to get an idea so that I can budget accordingly. Thanks

If you look at your owners manual, you will find a maintenance schedule. Understand that 100 hours is actually "100 hours or yearly, which ever comes first"

If you don't have an owners manual, head up to the adults only sticky, there is a couple from 2001, but they have about the same information in them.

I am curious, why are you not calling the local boatshops and asking them what they charge for an annual service? Ask them what that price includes. Then compare. We call that getting estimates.
Letting them know you are shoping for the best price, especially in winter, is apt to get you the best price. Business is slow right now.
If you are still wondering if that is "average" ask us again with your numbers.
I will tell you this much; if you take what you are told in this forum to a shop and say "but they said..." You may not like what you are told.
Shop rates play a huge part in cost. Here in Havasu there are shops that charge $120 an hour. No one I am aware of charges less than $80. Factory certified shops, that is.
I've heard guys here talk about $45 and $50 p/h shops.
That said, $400 to $600 if we find nothing out of the ordinary.
That's oils, filters, eng alignment, impeller, complete vessel inspection, and trailer service.
